Gimp is an open source image editing program similar to photoshop. You can get it at www.gimp.org .
Is it an easy to use layering system like with dedicated drawing programs (Manga Studio and the like)? And where can one find GIMP?
I used GIMP. I simply separated Fluttershy from the background (thanks for the making the background simple btw,) copied her layer 4 times, and moved them a little bit each frame. Then I saved it as an animated gif.
