Pretty much. I recall staff talking about making the show. One thing Lauren pushed for was making the characters as expressive as possible in the show.
I’m pretty sure the only reason they’re not even more expressive is a limit on time and money. As the show goes on, I’ve noticed they’ve been able to build more assets. (Like the Season 4 expressions, holy shit!)
I didn’t like them at first but it’s grown on me. I really like how much more expressive they are in the comics compared to the show.
Of course not. Doesn’t stop me from feeling bad about Celestia, though.
Honestly? If there’s one thing this arc did it’s draw a lot of fire away from how they portrayed Luna.
After what they did to Celestia, Lunafans now know how bad it really could have gotten.
For once I see something canon!Luna coulds say or do, and it only works to piss off Celestia AND the reader…
Well at least I can say it’s the lesser of all the problems with this comic.
The road to Hell is paved with good intentions, after all…
