Yeah, it’s out of character.
It’s possible that this artist is making him an antagonist of sorts…Why they didn’t choose some villain else, is beyond me. {I would have preferred an awesome big bro who loved to tease Aternis.}
Ahh AU gives me a headache sometimes.
Actually the guillotine was meant to be a humane(quick death) and equal(both kings and peasants met its blade) way to execute.Unfortunately it was so effective that its blade was coated in blood near 24/7 and well humane and equality were the last words to be associated with it when the revolution was over.
