But I am that guy. But mostly because there are a lot of jerks like that in the mlp fandom due to overlap with Reddit and whatnot, so maybe I assumed stuff I shouldn’t have.

I didn’t say they did. For the record, I think they go terrible together. And like I said earlier, I think hot pink goes terribly with any skin tone. Try to actually read my posts before you argue against a strawman, please :)

Maybe it would be better but it still doesn’t fit the same way lighter pink does. Of course colors are always a matter of opinion. (And one of the first opinions we make, at only 12 weeks old. [No it’s not relevant but I think it’s interesting.])
Pretty sure a lighter skin tone would go much better than this.
Haha, hating “forced diversity” reminds me of all those bigots who convince themselves they aren’t bigots by thinking “I don’t hate gay people, I just don’t want to see them, know they exist, or otherwise have them impact my life in any way.” Heterosexuality and ideas like you aren’t pretty if you aren’t skinny and white are “forced” on everyone 24/7. While I don’t have a pic on hand, I’ve seen plenty of nicely done black Twilight Sparkles and Rarities. And I’d argue that Pinkie’s brand of BRIGHT PINK doesn’t go with any IRL skin tone, which is why I’m glad EqG has them pony-colored.
Forced diversity is incredibly stupid, but that’s not point.

Black humanized ponies look ATROCIOUS. Black skin with pink hair? Please, this is even worse than a punch in the eye.
So let me make this clear: I dislike the picture not because I’m an intolerant asshole, but because regardless of race this couldn’t be farther from pinkie pie if you tried.
Seriously, just make the pony colors a little duller in color and it would work out much better.
