Keep in mind too that some older generations of game systems most of the games were made in japan, and some of the art stayed when it was exported to the west.
Seems kind of like a more Manga style picture than a comic book one due to their facial expressions(Fluttershy’s especially), but the setup you listed is exactly the same. :3
But one thing Twilight reminds me of those Anime/Manga where they use cards to cast spells, as well, so I think it is more of a Japanese/Eastern style thing that it is referencing if it is referencing anything at all. :)
I watched the episode.
I’m talking about the picture in general.
I think they meant whether the layout, poses, atmosphere, etc. was based on anything.
If it’s not based on some video game cover art, it’s almost certainly been done on a variety of comic books.
Find one featuring hero vs. a whole group of villains and it’d look like this.
Last episode’s (Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3” it was called) Rainbow dash had a test to take to join the Wonderbolts but she looked set up to fail. The girls each found their way of trying to help her study.
Twilight: Books and flashcards; conventional stuff.
Rarity: Costumes of the historical figures (while looking pretty good in them too).
Pinkie: Rapping and trying to “get down” with the material (like schools have tried in the past).
Fluttershy: A play using animals to re-enact it all.
Applejack: Apples.
Even if it isn’t, neat.
Good call.
Given Dash’s reactions, I’d do Pinkie (enthusiastic,) then Fluttershy (confused,) then Rarity (overwhelmed.) Amp up the tension as the game progresses.
Any minute now Luna is going to swoop in and tell Dash she needs to face her fears by paying attention to details.
Appeljack is obviously reoccurring mini boss. ;)
Tempted to just have
Fluttershy -> Pinkie Pie -> Rarity
in that order like the episode, but not sure.
How would you guys rank those 3 in terms of difficulty lvl and/or order of game boss appearance?
