Oh, I know. I rather like musing on the subject.
 
Part of me wonders if it would still look the same even if “the fandom” did vote. There are always a few people who make a lot of noise about the episodes they don’t like. (And that’s fine.) I wonder if it really is a minority, or if there’s more of a sizable “silent majority”.
 
I know that people tend to be more vocal in general when they are unhappy, and usually don’t feel as compelled to share so much when they’re content.

The results from imdb don’t match the fandom’s too well.

For any given episode, a lot of people will like it, and some will hate it. People in general will more easily express a negative opinion than a positive one. I suspect that for any given episode, the people who disliked it tend to be in the minority. Some are disliked more than others, sure.

MLP:FIM seems remarkably stable over time, judging from the series as a whole, and even the “worst” episodes don’t do that badly.
 
For one, the background music is always well done, and the animation is always fun to look at. Even in the “worst” episodes, there are still some really great animated bits, and a funny gag or two.
 
I’ve rated the series as a whole, but I’ve yet to go through episode-by-episode.

I wouldn’t take the ratings for the recent episodes seriously. It takes a while for the fandom to settle on whether an episode was good or not.

Yet more proof that IMDb is complete and total bullshit that cannot be trusted.
 
Pardon my screaming, but… “Breezies” is not the worst episode of the series! Anybody who says it is, is a complete moron who does not understand anything.

Also, though I enjoyed both, I feel that “Maud Pie” is a better episode than FWtSBT on just about every level except animation (crack-dream imagery always wins).
 
More Quibbles With This List:  

Imdb’s rankings are dumb, srsly.
 
baby Cakes is better than RTM according to them, one example.
 
And all episodes are at least 7/10 according to them

I’d like to just note that before I uploaded this, I tried to check that no one else had already done something similar, but somehow I missed this. I’m sorry for the slight redundancy, but at least there’s been some slight updates within the last week (like the newest episode).

Also, no love for the Breezies.

I’m kind of surprised that ‘For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils’ is the highest rated episode, personally I would have thought that it would have been one of the episodes from Seasons 1&2.

Even with the dip, it seems that MLP has relatively constant high ratings.

The newest episode always seems to be the highest rated. But the series has generally stayed the same since S1.

Looks about right.
