I’m not disappointed, because I don’t let it bug me nearly as much :3 Hopeful for the future.
We were able to see just those little bits of her personality.
An episode is a lot of screentime for Spitfire.
Hey, I was disappointed too after all.
Therefore, ‘She was a bitch in her last episode’, not ‘She’s quite a bitch’, in an overall sense.
And I’m saying that one episode shouldn’t be defining a character for you :3

In one episode. Which at the end of, she at least somewhat redeemed herself by admitting she was wrong, and praised Dash for once again showing her strong loyalty sense like she had at the academy.
Blame the writing, not the character. Majority of her appearances, she hasn’t been a bitch. She was very friendly in Best Night Ever, likewise she was not a bitch at all in Sonic Rainboom or Hurricane Fluttershy, and in Wonderbolt Academy, she’s a Drill Sergeant, meaning it’s her job to be a hard-ass.
