It was beautiful. That’s exactly why I love AJ so much - because people should really learn from her.

Alright, first of all, what Fluttershy did was legitimately cute, and insincerity would be completely unwarranted here.
 
Secondly, “being honest with yourself” is a pitifully narrow view of the virtue.

“The first principle is that you must not fool yourself – and you are the easiest person to fool.” – Richard Feynman
 
Honesty also includes being willing to admit you’re wrong when presented with contradictory evidence: a rare quality in the public discourse these days.
 
I consider honesty and hard work the two greatest virtues, and that’s why I admire Applejack so much.

Because he’s probably too young or unknown or anything like that.  
Plus, while the writing in this comic is very good its a lot harder to write up a story for a 30 minute episode while keeping with all the elements that come with the job

Wow… this artist is a genius! Why isnt this artist one of the writers of MLP, yet?

I don’t think it would be that necessary and most likely people would still be the same. Saying that AJ is boring is just an opinion anyway. Even if there is several people saying so and of course people like to go with the flow and so they may call AJ boring just because they’ve seen others say so.
 
I for example think Rarity is the most boring of the bunch. She is the one who is closest to these older generation ponies with her fashion fashion fashion oh I want to be popular girl -thing. Just because she has these occasional drama queen moments, it’s not enough to make her interesting.
 
That said, I know others do find her interesting just like many people think Applejack is an interesting character. It’s mostly how much we like them and how deeply we think about them. It’s not like the show is going to specifically explain every single little character trait they have.

It is a good lesson thats definitely worth seeing in the show, however if they play it out how it came out in this comic then it would just cause accusations of theft of ideas even if they weren’t there

They should make that in show. I mean bold explanation what about it is, maybe in that way AJ won’t be so boring (but probably will be still its just only normal character there)
