rarity’s super hero costume was pretty good,better than these…but i like these suits.they’re different,and goofy,but thats probably the point.

The over-the-top nature of Carnival mode makes me quite curious as to how the Power Rangers adaptation will handle it. Will they straight-up say that Carnival mode is the Battlizer, or will they actually put an additional Battlizer mode on top of Carnival mode like they did in Dino Thunder?
 
And if they did the latter, what more could they possibly add to it?
 
…would they just have him literally wear the actual kyoryuzin suit (sans the head) in an on-foot battle? Because I have to admit, that would be pretty funny.

It definitely grew on me over time, but that’s not to say that I don’t have a few issues with kyoryuger:
 
Concerning the zyudenryu, I do still think it was a misstep to have a five-person team that required only three of their mecha to create their initial megazord. it makes the remaining two core zyudenryu feel like glorified auxiliary mecha. If the initial team is five people, the megazord should be formed from all five initial mecha!
 
I don’t really dislike any of the characters in and of themselves, but it does seem like Daigo gets way too much focus. Yeah, red rangers usually get the most focus anyway, but… Daigo is kind of ridiculous and blatant about it, what with him holding Plezuon’s beast battery despite Kyoryu Violet being a fairly regular member of the team, saving the day in other character’s focus episodes, and his super mode essentially turning him into a miniature kyoryuzin.

So me and you had somewhat opposite reactions to Kyoryuger.  
I love the look of the suits, weapons, and mecha when I first saw them but as it’s going on I’m finding more things that doesn’t set right with me.  
I love Gabutyra for how expressive he can be but some of the other Zyudenryu have next to no time to shine outside of the episodes when they first show up or about their partners, if at all. Also some of the character just bug me for the way they are or seem to be, one case is Ian, I actually hated him for being a hot-shot lady’s man but then Brave 33 showed he just didn’t like seeing women sad and was really just out to make them happy.  
It’s just a mixed bag for me but a little more of things I just don’t care for.

For my part, I’m through with making knee-jerk reactions to newly-announced toku shows. I’m reserving any and all judgement until I actually see some episodes.
 
I didn’t like Kyoryuger’s suits and mecha at first, but it turned out to be great! then I thought Gaim’s fruit theme was way too silly for a Kamen Rider series, but it’s had a very strong showing so far. I’m not going make the same mistake a third time. I need to actually see the team in action and watch how they operate before passing any judgement.
