They change the plotline significantly for starters. They’ve made some of the most enjoyable pony videos of all in my opinion, the humor is right down my alley.
Rainbow Dash Presents is a very strange case for me. While I admit they are very intelligent, very well-educated people with a pretty good grasp on human behavior and overall grounded on society at large and its functions, the manner in which they choose to share their view and points with their audience kind of annoys me.
It is a personal, irrational pet peeve of mine, but I don’t like to listen to someone that goes on and on constantly on a rambling tangent about how to be a decent person and how the world and society operates like they are trying to explain their point to someone that doesn’t have half the brain capacity to understand what they are saying. It feels condescending in a way, or maybe overly pretentious, but once again, that is entirely my own personal pet peeve with their method of delivery. I still recognize they are extremely intelligent and I’m sure they are great people, but I just can’t help but not want to watch and listen to what they have to say.
…Yeah, no thanks. I’d rather avoid those videos, since I kind of fail to see how they could possibly succeed at making some of the grimdarkest stories of the fandom funny. Along with whatever else it is that “Rainbow Dash Presents” does.
