It’s called the 21st century Internet. That, combined with easy-to-use editing software and nearly infinite bandwidth means any and every meme can and will be hammered into the ground until it is dead and buried. And then revived later for nostalgia reasons. And lulz.
I’ve made peace with this whole process now. I view it as a natural evolution of our fandom.

Well this is what happens when the bronyhood goes on a long pony hiatus. The moment a new episode hits, everyone & their grandparents hammers the ever lasting fuck out of anything and everything they think is exploitable and meme worthy whether it’s amusing (Pointless Screencaps & Gifs) or not (black vine tentacle porn & flashback potion is semen).
Not that I don’t like this new meme, but, it sure is scary when you see how viral it got in so little time.
