As far as I know there was only one Sibs/Raven interview posted anywhere. It should be on EqD somewhere.

I checked the MLP wikia and I can’t find anything about it there. Maybe there is another source somewhere? All I know is that it was an interview with Sibs and Raven talking about season 2 (so it would actually have been over 2 years ago) and they talked about SfS and the real meaning behind it. There may be an archive of interviews out there that I don’t know about but I hope that helps.
… I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a source for something MLP-related more than I do now.
There was an interview posted about a year ago with Sibsy and Raven and that’s basically what they said.

Well they already have made meta episodes before; as an example, Green Isn’t Your Color was made in response to the corporate higher-ups telling the writers and staff what to do, which by the way is a very similar concept to what the fandom has been doing lately. You could actually intemperate GiYC to be a response to the fandom but of course that ep was made very early on before the fandom even began to speak out.

Thing is, I don’t really see very much “being asshole to writers because story didn’t turn out the way one wanted it to”.
What I DO see however, is massive amounts of hatred geared towards people who have even the slightest criticism for the show. And an episode like this will only fuel those people that harass the alleged “haters”.
Making episodes based around fandom-favorite ponies, or throwing in lots of fandom nods, that’s one thing. Blatantly making an episode that finger-wags at the fandom? No. Just…no.
There’s a difference between criticism and being a complete asshole to writers because the story isn’t going the way you want it to.

If it is a meta-story on the fandom, that would be the more likely Aesop instead of “THE COMPLAINER IS ALWAYS WRONG!”
Of course, knowing this fandom, the people meant to get the message will completely miss the point and proceed to interpret it as a personal attack anyhow.
I’d actually be very disappointed if this turns out to be some meta-story directed at the fandom.
This fandom is already hugboxy enough, we don’t need a canon episode demonizing anyone who criticizes the writing.
