The Elements of Harmony were described as the most powerful magic known to ponydom. If there’s a threat too great to be defeated by the Elements, it’s too great for Celestia and Luna.

I wish there was an episode about Celestia, it would probably help with the negetive views people have with her… Then again it might not, but I can hope.

Princess Celestia is a supreme ruler, and supreme rulers often have a hard time getting anything done due to the mess of red tape underneath them. Ever read The Thief of Time?

I like to picture it in D&D terms. The Mane 6 are ~level 12. They go on adventures to save the kingdom every few weeks and assume they’re epic heroes.
 
Celestia and Luna on the other hoof have passed level 20 and are now fighting cosmic level threats, battling Elder Gods and interplanetary monsters in battles so vast equestrians don’t even notice.
 
Every time it cuts to Celestia reading a letter she’s just that second come back from battling Cthulhu across a dozen dimensions.
