Well if Hideo Kojima cared that much, we should see more Metal Gear Solid games on Nintendo in exchange.
To me, Sonic feels more of a Nintendo character than Snake does.
Yeah, that does make sense. Sonic is very unbalanced. I still like to play as him but I agree that changes to his mechanics would have been better. ( I didn’t mind the lack of remixes but a bigger role in the Subspace Emmisary would have been nice. To be honest, Shadow was a more accurate version of the stop-watch item. But yes, I would liked to see Chaos Blast worked in Shadow’s variety.)
Yup it would. Maybe throw some in some moves from Sonic Battle or something.
Yes, we need Mario, Sonic and Mega Man altogether. (And Snake if he’s lucky.)
Perhaps, but the reason for Snake’s inclusion was his creator is a big fan of the SSB series, and requested he be included. So honestly, I think Snake has a better chance of getting back in then Sonic. Snake also seems more well-liked by SSB fans, while I usually see people only complain about Sonic. (I mean even to this day, some still complain about him being in the game, or being to weak, or to “cheap.”)
My only gripe with Sonic was, most of his “smash moves” weren’t very effective, and I think he was kinda thrown into the game at the last moment. (Which explains the lack of Sonic music remixes, and rather tiny role in the adventure mode. Not to mention the “helper” character Shadow being basically a stop-watch item.)
Still, it’d be a good opportunity to improve Sonic’s moveset a bit. So I would welcome him back. Not to mention, it’d be awesome to have Mario, Sonic, and Megaman the “holy trinity of old-school gaming” in a game together finally.
That would be cool though……
Ugh, don’t remind me. I knew someone who was all “fuck Sonic!” when Sonic was announced for Brawl.
I personally think he should be a returning fighter. I mean, he has a better chance of being part of Smash Bros than Snake does.
Only for 3 Sonic games though, Nintendo isn’t buying off Sega, or anything.
Still, I wouldn’t get my hopes up to high for Sonic, sense while Sonic has quite a few fans, he has just as many haters to. I remember when he was announced to be in Brawl, while quite a few people were happy, quite a few were actually quite angry with his inclusion, as well, and started insisting he be removed…
Why wouldn’t you? Sega already has made a partnership with Nintendo.
But of course, just because a character is in a recent game doesn’t make their appearance likely. (I mean Wii Fit’s trainer was a pretty obscure “modern” Nintendo character.)
Also, sense they’re keeping the third party characters to a minimum, I don’t really see Rayman having a chance. He’s not as popular as Megaman, Snake, or even Sonic.
I must add, that’s kinda a cute anthro’ Twilight Sparkle. I like her outfit. Reminds me of the one SS2Sonic gives her.
