And yeah. When I was a kid, I watched movies like Aliens and Jurassic Park. Heck, I wasn’t even ten when my mom gave me the sex talk. Didn’t faze me. (Though I was disgusted when my mom kept flashing her stomach while she talked of it…and the fact that I didn’t want to think of my parents doing it.)
It kind of made Shimmer’s transformation slightly more dramatic when she became the first MLP antagonist in over twenty years to make the death of one of the main characters their goal.

I kinda wish they kept the “needs to die” line in. Not like the mention of death is gonna mentally scar any children.
But ah well.
