From today’s episode of MAD on CN, in which they poke fun of Equestria Girls:
“Friday, 10am: The new My Little Pony movie sees ponies as girls, while producers sees ponies as cash cows!”

Oh yeah, “Clops” (NOT what you bronies think it is!) and the Kenny Rogers bits were hilarious. Especially, “Kenny Roger’s Jackass.”
It’s so okay, its average. They had some funny bits, but alot of my disliking comes from both the basic “its funny because its a reference” humor and my bias against a lot of sketch comedy(but hey,at least the animators from el tigre got to do some of the short’s art).
Cared even less for the live action version, unless it had to do with Clops (claymation parody of cops with various fictional characters) or quite possibly one of the greatest sketch comedy characters,Kenny Rogers.Seriously one of the funniest things I’ve seen.
Also, personally, I think it’s a hit-or-miss show, some bits are funny, some arn’t. (Same with the more adult “Robot Chicken.”)
Some of their parodies are amsuing. I also like how Tara Strong actually voiced in the pony parodies they did.

I actually liked that show MAD TV sometimes.
I am aware. I was just explaining why the tag here is called that.
There was also a live-action skit-based show (sort of like SNL) on FOX called “MAD TV”, a couple years back:

“mad tv” is the tag. As in Mad the television show.
Me too
Mad Tv has been dead for years
It’s old
They can’t spend every waking minute on the Internet. They don’t have time to go to communities where their fans congregate nearly as often as the fans themselves do. They have the viewpoint society has on the issue; that it’s a crime.
It takes a few times for them to realize that there’s really no threat and that people are blowing smoke. But the first time is probably scary, and could make some be more apprehensive to a community that they original reached out to as a courtesy.
@someguy111
Honestly, if they tried to sue Time Warner over this, it’d be like suing over a joke or reference on Family Guy, it would just make them look a little ‘douchey’.
but to the industry professional who interacts with fans out of their own personal need to please “them” it is very serious.
would you please explain that more?
Oh, there were doxxing attempts and death threats. The latter is pretty much the Internet’s way of saying “hello,” but to the industry professional who interacts with fans out of their own personal need to please “them” it is very serious.
Nowadays it’s hard for me to tell when something is meant to taken as a joke or seriously, like sarcasm in the internet.
It’s all a parody, not like mad is a very serious show…
They do the legally required art change to make it so that it falls under parody. Apparently they can call her Rainbow Dash but it can’t look too much like her.
Plus I’d argue that since many fans want “the producers’” heads on pikes, they’d just point to this as a genuine piece of criticism rather than a joke.
I don’t watch MAD but that’s pretty interesting. I wonder if anyone has ever considered it a conflict of interest.
Oh, of course. I mean Tara Strong is on the cast of MAD for crissakes. She does all of the voices for the ponies whenever they do a parody. Was kind of interesting to hear her interpretation of RD.
