While I hc Cadance and Shining as a t4t couple, I imagined Cadance as not being a part of Love’s conception at all.
Instead, Chryssi has spent so much time shapeshifted into Cadance in the attempt to hijack the wedding that when she layed an egg, it had started developing with traits of the form she was in. She dropped off the egg as close to Cadance’s castle as she could, not caring for if it’s found and taken care of, but Cadance did find the egg and raise Love, recognizing her as similar to herself
