That did sound f-ing insane what happened over there. Since my government, which has a very big hand in dictating terms, particularly with the S. Korean military, is just “closely monitoring the situation” rather than telling the president and the military guard to surrender and face prosecution is pretty damned shameful. But it isn’t surprising; the “defender of democracy” mask has been slipping a long time.
