The afternoon sun beamed through the windows of Maretime Bay’s school. The class were doing history presentations. Sunny Starscout waited patiently for her turn. She and her father, Argyle Starshine, had been working on her presentation for weeks.
“Next up is…Sunny!” Miss Fireswirl called out to her class.
Sunny trotted up to the front of the classroom, excited to share her presentation on ancient Equestria. The room grew quiet as she cleared her throat, her eyes glancing over her well-prepared notes. The anticipation was palpable, with all the young earth ponies eagerly waiting to see what she had to say.
“Ancient Equestria,” she began, her voice strong and confident, “was a time of magic and mystery, where ponies of all kinds lived together in harmony.”
“Here we go again!” huffed Sprout, who had trotted up to her. “You know it’s just a silly bedtime story your dad made up!”
“No it’s not!” Sunny objected.
“Sprout, cut it out!” Snapped Hitch Trailbazer, Sprout and Sunny’s friend.
Miss Fireswirl sighed. “Sunny. I need to speak with you about this. Let’s go somewhere private.”

Don’t worry, Sunny. Lots of theories that led to world-changing discoveries were originally thought of as crazy.
