I understand. I did visit the Often Forgotten section, but I didn’t see the bare tag thing. But I perfectly understand. I won’t use the bare tag anymore.
We don’t really get to choose. The site actually says how OCs must be named (in the “Often Forgotten” section below the tag editor), so bare tags shouldn’t be used.
I already know how tags work, which is exactly why I’m using them. I just thought about adding as many tags as possible, so that my image will be more likely to be found by people.
You can use
artist:lonstecationandoc:lonstecationjust fine as many times as you want. It’s the barelonstecationthat’s problematic. It doesn’t mean anything.artist:lonstecation. If they want to hide your OC, they’ll filter theoc:lonstecationtag. And so on. They will never do anything with just the barelonstecation.So, let me see if I understand. Is it not okay to have two tags, one just with the OC name and one as oc:name?
Yes, but you also created a non-namespaced
lonstecationtag which doesn’t mean anything. It’s not an OC name tag and it’s not an artist tag either. It’ just an incorrect tag. And I don’t even want to start guessing whatlonsteandveadotubemean.Isn’t this exactly what I did? oc:lonstecation
