Yeah, Flurry’s not giving me confidence that she is willing to be truly unbiased regarding Cozy and her behavior. She’s clearly grown very attached very quickly to Cozy, and is really downplaying her past crimes as simply “bad choices” that anyone could have made (as opposed to deliberate and malicious acts made with full knowledge that they would hurt other people). And it doesn’t help Cozy is known to be a skilled manipulator, and Flurry does not seem old enough to have had experience dealing with such people. Plus, Flurry claims Cozy “realized her mistakes long ago,” but seeing how old they both appeared has Cozy really had all that much time to truly reflect on her past actions yet?

Don’t disagree about giving Cozy a better ending, but it needs a neutral third party who can judge her fairly and honestly. Flurry I feel would keep making excuses for Cozy’s bad behavior until something really bad happens.

Flurry’s not wrong here. Problem is that Cozy may need a bit more then blind trust, similar to how it was with Discord. Perhaps they should try to get her a therapist, or get some use for her talents for things other then villainy. A filly shouldn’t be the only one working to rehabilitate her. I sort of wonder if Cozy has friendly relations with anyone else in this verse.
