“Sibling RivaloRom”
Finally! After life constantly got in the way with losing my laptop, health, and dealing with my cats’ fleas, I was able to finish this comic.
While PetalStorm is the only ship I kinda like (not support, I don’t support canonical shipping) I did want to keep it kinda ambiguous if it was sibling rivalry or romance.
As I stated before, almost all of my current canonical art ideas are either shipping, lewdly crude, or [mostly] both.

Ohhh, then yeah, I get what you mean. Honestly I see shipping as mostly a fandom thing that’s supposed to be fun, and canon as something separate. I guess it’s why I find shipping wars kind of pointless.
PetalStorm is the only ship I get giddy about and enjoy for some reason. I’ve been in the fandom for 8-ish years and it’s the first time I experienced the flutter bug of shipping. Makes me feel a mixture of things.
Well, you know what they say, that you don’t choose the ship, the ship chooses you 😄 But really though, PetalStorm has great chemistry, and I personally think they have the most interesting dynamic. The fanart is just really cute too.

Also, what’s the difference between liking and supporting a ship? I thought it was used interchangeably?
There’s a handful of ships which have entertainment potential that I find intriguing… but while ship teasing can be fun I never want to actually see shipping in the source material.
I’m just not a shipper. I don’t headcanon that stuff, I don’t cling to StarTrix as my precious OTP, hating on StarBurst while railing the comments or smashing Downvotes of StarBurst because StarTrix is THE Starlight ship… bleh. So I don’t partake in shipping wars unless I’m instigating it with stick-poking.
Ironic since I did the first StarTrix piece of fanart in Season 6 leading up to the episode when they meet.
