Fun fact: in communist countries, the propaganda used to say that The Communist Manifesto was the most read book in the world. And at the same time, the Catholic Church (who was generally opoosed to communist rule) said it was the Bible. Although I’m bit sceptical about that too - while the Bible indeed is the most printed book, I suspect most of the copies were never opened, let alone actually read.
