Yes, the thing that make us adore them is more in the Personality and how they act to their environment rather than just a their look. also for me i need a time to really adoring MLP Pony after i started to watch MLP in early 2015 “(note I think I am starting to adore them like a week after watched the first episode and starting to download pony art. It need a time for me to really adoring them. Even my friend that I introduced to the show have more and less same thing like that too)”, so yeah Adorableness is pretty relative.
What makes us find them cute and pretty and all is the fact we all have been very familiar and fond to them, we got used to them and we unlike those who doesn’t watch the show aren’t limited only to look but to their personalities and styles and stories that all adds in our sense of how “cute” they are.
That’s why we end up finding ways to see Chrysalis as a cute changeling as well, we just build ‘bounds’ that aren’t present in those who doesn’t watch it like we do.
Yeah i also think the same about too that “I find them adorable and real horses kinda not-so-much.”, but still there are still a people who prefer the reverse and thinking that real horse is cuter than MLP Ponies. and probably anti-brony think like that. because they hate MLP and probably not hating Real horse. plus i think my past self will find the real horse more attractive than MLP Ponies. because he doesn’t have a clue what it is or how the their character are.

There’s some truth to this. I remember thinking their heads were unnaturally large and kinda weird looking.
Now I think they’re freaking adorable, though. A lot of “cute” does come from the character.
But it doesn’t change the fact that I find them adorable and real horses kinda not-so-much.

Honestly Adorableness is relative. Before watching the show I don’t think they are cute. But after watching it and see their character i think they are pretty cute (note I think I am starting to adore them like a week after watched the first episode and starting to download pony art.
