I like the way you think!
However, if you really want to prove that you want her to be happy and move on after you pass, keep a detailed journal of how you go about loving her (in both senses of the word), for her next husband.
(The diamond thing is fine too I guess? Depending on how one phrases the symbolism?)

Dude, if you don’t like Luna, that’s fine and dandy; I for one don’t really care for a few of the more popular characters in the show. But you taking an opportunity to rag on her every time she’s so much as mentioned is just annoying.

Sure, I guess they’re cute mares, and can be pretty when in human form, but there’s more to wanting to marry a woman/mare than just their looks.
I mean, things like personality do matter quite a bit. How many relationships are ended because the man and woman only wanted the other for their good looks, only to realize they had nothing in common and may even dislike their personalities?
I for one would much prefer a woman who’s known to be loving, patient, compassionate enough to even go against a family member for the sake of everyone else than a woman who tried to basically throw a giant tantrum and take what she wanted just because she didn’t get the attention she assumed she was owed.
