Turkey wasn’t Turkish until the Seljuks migrated there, followed by the Ottomans. It was part of the Greek world for centuries.
And, of course, Byzantium was the capital of the Roman Empire, so it makes sense they’d have Roman arches.
I stand corrected. Etruscans created the arch and Romans popularized them so you are mostly correct.
