Ya, I mean if he could change evens in the past then his first act of being set free would of been to stop Celestia and Luna from beating him in the first place or at lest stop the second time he was beaten, but he didn’t and that means he can’t.
I concur. Given what we’ve seen of his powers, he has the power to go back in time (Return of Harmony Part 2), but only in the sense of The Ghost of Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol, he and anyone he brings with him can witness past events, but they can’t change any of those events.

Nope, not buying it, he change all of reality as it is now, not as it was in the past or in the future, only in the same point in time he’s at when using said power.
