The only two ponies in Lunas night court and technically her two adopted children. Their parents had been a part of Celestias day court and when she fell her court was assassinated, but their young children had been spared. It’s not a legal adoption but she did take them in and raise them after their parents death.
Once a week Luna goes to sleep for one night and they take over her nightly duties. Sterling raises the moon, but she can only manage half of it and it takes about half of the whole night to do. While she does that lucidity gets started on the paperwork until she’s done. They switch, while Sterling does paperwork, lucidity meets up with the princesses and takes a report on how their kingdoms are doing.
After a long day of work they crawl into Lunas bed as she awakens and gets some needed rest.
Side note: they care about their adoptive mother a lot and are really hell-bent on not waking her up. Only twice have they had to wake her up but each time the world was ending sooo.
