The picture meant “women” as any females, sure mares are female horses and women are female humans, the term “man” can be even more confusing, especially the word “stallion” and “gelding” coexists.

The way the hair is drawn, designed to catch the wind like uncoiling clouds of gentle beauty, is very difficult to work with. And there’s surprising complexity in her figure that’s easy to mess up in motion, I’m sure.

For many of us, Amalthea was our first equine love interest.

Speaking of Amalthea, i’ve seen a lot of fan art of her but not even one fan animation! Even Marigold from Phoebe And Her Unicorn has at least one fan animation (and it’s even here on Derpibooru)…

I know this comment is kinda off-topic, but really…why is there no fan animation of The Last Unicorn (3D or otherwise)? I’d love to see Amalthea shaking her unicorn butt.

Well, that’s good, because The Last Unicorn is available on many different streaming services (including several prominent free ones, but I’ll probably watch it on either Hulu or Peacock - or maybe the Hulu hub on Disney+, haha - just so I don’t have to deal with ads), whereas Spirit only seems to be available for rental/purchase on several services, so it’s good to know that it’s probably not worth the money to see (but I will watch it if it returns to, say, Prime Video or Netflix)
