MASSIVE commission from Yoshi1990!! This piece was a lot of work; it basically took all of December to finish and it’s definitely the largest piece I’ve done in terms of character count, but I’m really happy with how it turned out!!

Agree with Dragonpone that it’s probably just about these characters that tickles the commissioner’s fancy.
Frankly if it’s canon season 2 and onwards’ issues then they probably wouldn’t have requested twilicorn or daybreaker.
Dunno why there has to be a deeper reason to it…

Honestly the moment I read the request it gave me major flashbacks to like. Season 2 fan works? Cuz Trixie & Minuette/Colgate were the big fandom favs at the time
It was literally my entire month’s income in December lol. It also took me THE WHOLE MONTH to finish soooo they got their money’s worth
I swear that’s the only combo they know

Keep in mind that this is commissioned artwork, and the one requesting it probably preferred having Minuette in the roster.
Id take lyra and bonbon over those two… ugh.
Minuette here is rather baffling instead of Trixie’s bestie Starlight. But eh.
