Everything was peaceful. Birds were chirping and Dove was practicing her magic with her mother, Cadence.

“Now my dear, focus your energy on lighting the crystal,” Cadence said, handing her daughter a blue crystal.

Dove nodded and summoned her magic through her horn. As she was about to cast her spell, a beam of dark energy hit the crystal first and it darkened in color. Cadence dropped the crystal and turned to whoever casted the spell. A dark unicorn stepped into the throne room and looked at Cadence. Cadence immediately recognized him and covered her mouth with her hoof.

“Mother? Who is that?” Dove asked, looking between her and the dark unicorn.

The dark unicorn laughed and glared at Dove. “I’m not surprised you don’t know who I am. Cadence or shall I say mother, erased my very existence from the Crystal Empire along with my father.” he began, stepping closer to Dove.

Dove prepared herself and readied her magic. Cadence shook her head and looked at her son. She readied herself for a fight.

“My name is Azrael, dear sister, and I have come to take what is rightfully mine!”
