Both sisters laugh as they galloped off leaving Opaline is turned down in sorrow, but swears to get even with them some day… but… when? Mlp g8? With its series’ finale in the year 1010 AD?

Stuff like this is rather similar regarding why the setting detail Journal of the Two Sisters had of there being an alicorn homeland is highly questionable, for which I don’t blame G4 for not touching that with a 20 foot pole at any point after: what the hell were they all doing for all this time to not factor into anything, and where did they all go?

And even more vague on her species till the reveal. Maybe she used an invisibility spell to hide her wings because no way you’re telling me that Sparkle knew of one more isolated nation that other ponies never heard of, or that Celestia and Luna told them about her and their original homeland or that nopony cared that there was another alicorn besides the 5.
