- SUNSET [ROBOTIC VOICE]: If I’m being honest, I’m less annoyed at the fact that you’ve forced me to be your test subject, but more impressed that you somehow happen to have all of this testing equipment.
- TWILIGHT: Well, being an alicorn has its benefits.
- SUNSET: Riiiight, you can just generate stuff out of thin air as you need it.
- TWILIGHT: Why would I do that? No, I just get discounts easily.
- SUNSET: Uh, I… you… what?
- TWILIGHT: What? Being an important figure pays off.
- SUNSET: That seems like a really roundabout way of going about things. I mean, think about it; you’re an alicorn, you could just materialize whatever you need without having to spend a single bit.
- TWILIGHT: I mean, I could do that, that’s true, but then that undercuts the businesses. And with how much I shop around for things for my research, it really boosts the economy.
- SUNSET: …Even with the discounts I don’t think I want to know how much all of this cost.
- TWILIGHT: Oh, it was at least a few hundred thousand bits–
- SUNSET: [exclaims] I said I didn’t want to know! How did you even afford all this?
- TWILIGHT: I got discounts!
- SUNSET [sarcastically]: Oh yeah, and it’s still a few hundred thousand bits after discounts, like that makes it better. Where in Celestia’s name did you get the money from?
- TWILIGHT: I generated it.
- SUNSET: …
- TWILIGHT: …What?
- SUNSET: …I’m not even going to begin to go into what’s wrong with those implications.
- SUNSET: I do have to ask though, how much longer do I have to stand here like this?
- TWILIGHT: Hard to say. As long as it takes to get useful data. Why?
- SUNSET: Well, last I checked, robots don’t have bladders – yet somehow mine is full.
