it tastes better because you care for it, you see it grow and now in turn you feed yourself of that hard work and take enjoyment that you did this not someone miles away from you.

I just hope the new movement of using tech and indoor farming tools will make it 70% to 30% where we don’t have to worry about where our next miles come from.

It’s always been pretty punk. In a society where dependence on the global market for basic needs is either highly encouraged or even mandated, usually due to some backroom deals made to stuff the pockets of politicians and corporate elites, being self-sufficient is the highest form of rebellion. Also, home grown food tastes better.
