She did it in Ticket Master because him being a prince would imply him being a gentleman, by TBNE she only cared about him being a gentleman.
 
You go watch the episode again and when you return tell me if Blueblood didn’t approach her first.
 
She ditched him when it became clear that there wasn’t anything redeemable in him. His status wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the episode and if that was the thing she wanted him for, she wouldn’t have ditched him at all.

Quite possibly he was simply mistreating that white-and-purple floozy that came up to him and demanded his attention like she was all that! Obviously she was only after his royal title and his money like all those other powerhungry gold-diggers. After all, a pony who genuinely loved him for him would… well, at least get to know him first.

I like to think he is an extremely competent explorer/wizard/secret agent/whatever, but actually hates the nobility and inherited his aunt’s trollery. He was acting like an overblown caricature of nobility to screw with Rarity, who was being a bit gold digger.

He acts like a dicks because he likes dicks.

I like to think of him as being tired of mares throwing themselves at him for his title. So he just acts like a dick to drive them away

Blueblood is likeable because he is a complete douche. Not every character needs a secret back story to explain their assholery.
