Right, they’re supposed to be teens, yet the ’03 Turtles had waaaaay too much build. XD
I grew up the the 2003 sereis, and I agree 100% with you. This show has a softer overall tone than 2k3, but isn’t afraid to go into heartbreaking (Leatherhead) or terrifying (the Rat King), and has a lot of moments of levity, particularily the fact the turtles actually act like teenage brothers would (if they were ninja fighting an alien invasion). Also, there’s two more seasons in the pipeline.
If you’re implying a romantic relationship, who says? For all we know, the two could form a friendship based on their shared interest of logic. (Or rather, Donnies head would explode every time Twiley used magic).
yeah new can be good …aside from remakes…and horrible cash cow developers, but the new tmnt is good and imo (i swear i might get flame for this since i grew up with the original) it’s better than the 1987 series.
As for the ship i dig it…way better than the mordekai flood theres out there…i dont hate regular show but it seems jsut plainly weird to do it…at least in my opinion
cause he’s voiced by rob right? that doesn’t mean he’s the only good character heck leo is likable raph maybe a jerk to his bro’s but atleast we see his soft side and mikey….well he’s just mikey only this time he has ADHD and splinter awesome.
yeah it’s really good i mean given yeah it’s cg but does that mean you gotta hate on it hell no the writing in that show is solid so far the shredder fight in the gauntlet was gold and everything i’ve seen so far is handle well heck nick seems to handle tmnt better than what disney is doing to marvel or cn with warner brothers superheroes.
I like the new Nick TMNT. It’s got some of the campy humor of the old ‘80s/‘90s cartoon, and movies, and some of the darker things from the 2003 series, and original Mirage comics, as well. (I mean the new Rat King looks like Nightmare Fuel, so it’s not as “toned down” & “kiddy” as I worried it would be.) It also brought back some things from both the past cartoons, as well.
I also think the new voices are pretty good.
Also, I think the Karai in this show seems cooler then the one in the 2003 series personally. She’s got a bit more personality.
