Whatever they did then, however unfair it was, but how it can be genocide? Genocide is inentional extermination of a nation, so where was that intent? People were targeted for their political views or for doing illegal things like trying to be capitalists or siding with nazi during WW2, not for their ethincity. Again, dragging families along with them was wrong, unjust accusations were wrong, but it was not a genocide.
I have other opinion about word “democracy”…
