Remarks like that make it hard for me to respect politically-correct guilty-white liberals. (As George Carlin calls them.)
Yeah, they were fine with women in the 50s. As long as they were white, Christian women, of course.
It was worse, Biff had his hand up her dress. (At least he got his ass kicked.)
Though, BTTF isn’t really a “kiddy/family” movie, like the other ones mentioned looking back on it. (Though, I suppose being PG, it wasn’t to family-unfriendly. I loved those movies as a kid.)
Also Andy’s remark about the ‘50s. Geeze… lol while funny, I admit, I don’t think things were that “sexist” back then.
Funny thing is, when the makers of the movie were going to studios to make the first BTTF movie, Disney turned ’em down ’cause they felt it was “to edgy/vulgar,” and other studios turned them down ‘cause they felt it wasn’t “edgy/vulgar” enough.
No, I don’t remember. If I did remember, I would’ve like mentioned that. GOSH.
There was also the attempted rape scene set in the 50s where Marty had to make sure his father hooked up with his mother, Biff was groping her in his car, remember?
Wait no, Alex was from that other show he was in. Murphy Brown, I think it was?
