this is purposefully using cuter clips from g1 and g3, g1 could be horrifying at times and there was a scene in the g3 christmas movie where minty and thistle whistle nearly fall to their deaths in a gorge

Signs that most of G4 fanatics are really elite and arrogant. If it weren’t for G1-G3, G4 wouldn’t exist. And most of the characters are taken from G1 and G3.

I’m not sure if it’s uneducated about G1, or deliberately biased against it. All the G1 footage is the cutesy stuff from the opening titles, while all the G4 footage is actual G4 lore from the episodes proper.

But yes, Return of Tambelon, Rescue at Midnight Castle, Escape from Catrina, the movie and its sequel The End of Flutter Valley…G1 got pretty dang dark in a lot of places. :D

Sure it’s less serious, and that’s okay, it doesn’t invalidate G1 and G3 shows.

G2 never had a show. Also, good job on only putting the non-lore stuff of prev. gens. You show how much of a G4 supremacist you are.

you can literally put rescue at midnight castle, and escape from catrina against ALL of fim’s episodes and g1 will still have better lore.

This was clearly made by a G4 lover who thinks the earlier Gens were silly and babyish….and deliberately made their choice of scenes from each Gen to prove their point.
 
You could just as easily take the climax from “Rescue at Midnight Castle” and put it against “Slice of Life” to make the diametrically-opposite point. :)

Precisely. These are only the slightly misleading intros of the early serie. And the climaxes and backstories of FiM. That is not remotely honest.
 
Especially when Tirek is little more than a a pale and comical reiteration of a far more intimidating villain you could and would take far more seriously. The old shows might not be as long running, but “And Friends” in particular was consistent with itself. FiM ran so long and had so many writers especially after Faust and Larson jumped ship, it lost touch with itself. And even had great many inconsistencies. RD’s father comes to mind. Those insufferable comics being at odds with the show too. The best stuff happened with Faust and Larson.

1You only showed the lore parts of G4 and none of the lore parts of the other gens. And what’s more, you showed the intro sequence of the other gens but not G4 when the G4 intro is at least as childish as those.

Yes, plenty. At least G1 and G3, since G2 barely has any story.

This isn’t very accurate since G1 actually had some decent lore.
