Description
Flurry Heart is close to all of her cousins. But she’d be lying if she said that she didn’t have a favourite. Starlight is a lot like Luna in personality and appearance meaning a lot of ponies judge her before they get to know her. Flurry was 5 when she was introduced to a new-born Starlight, she knew that the Alicorn was harmless and she wanted to prove that to her subjects, she had always been taught to lead by example.
Flurry lead the younger princess through the Crystal empire, it was Flurry’s day off so she wasn’t wearing her usual royal regalia, Starlight, of course, was wearing hers, she always did. Despite their Princess being with the visitor the Crystal ponies still pulled young fillies and colts away from the Bat Pony Princess. Flurry choose not to acknowledge the acts wanting to prove Starlight was innocent. The two princesses made conversation on their walk. As the reached the foot of the Crystal castle a young colt ran over and clung to Flurry’s leg “Princess, Princess!” he cheered his mother trying to pry the foal away from the two princesses. Flurry laughed softly as she greeted the young colt politely. He grinned wide before his attention was taken by the other princess, he looked to Flurry then to Starlight, then his mother before bowing his head “P-Princess Starlight, I-I’m sorry I-” Starlight wore a kind and patient smile as she interrupted the young colt “Not at all, I always greet Princess Flurry Heart in the same way.” the colt perked up a little “Really?” Flurry nodded her head laughing “Oh yes she does, she also normally tackles me to the floor.” the colt snickered, Starlight laughed “I didn’t used to, it’s not my fault I grew up.”
The crystal mare managed to pull her son away, she bowed to the two mares “I’m so sorry your highnesses, I told him not to run over, please don’t-” Starlight cut the mare off able to hear the fear in her tone “It’s quiet alright Ma’am, he was just excited. No harm done.” the mare looked surprised “Y-You’re not mad?” Starlight shook her head “Not at all. I love meeting ponies.” the mare walked away with her son. Flurry smiling at her cousin “You handled that well.” Starlight smirked “So did you. I thought that little colt was going to knock your down like a bowling pin for a moment.” Flurry chuckled a little embarrassed “He nearly did.”
