Hell, “A Horse Shoe-In” had Trixie teleport a patch of swampland into a classroom - a much greater mass over a much greater distance than we’ve seen from any other unicorn. So clearly she had been seriously practicing.

Well, “probably”, they never confirmed 100% Jack Pot doesn’t know his daughter exists. My headcanon still stands. :P
Trixie magical ability isn’t poor she probably just prefers stage magic since she enjoys showing off and putting on shows. She’s not like Sunburst who’s shown to have extremely week magic, Trixie managed to teleport Twilight’s table.
Also she didn’t loose her job, she’s self employed. Though it was more Snips and Snails fault Trixie’s self-aggrandizing was the thing that made it so bad. She spent so long making fun of others that once the script was flipped her audience easily turned on her, that just happens with those kind of performers.
Lol, no. The writers themselves say that Jack Pot probably doesn’t even know she exists.
So this is basically Trixie: She’s a unicorn who lives in a wagon, born with magical ability so poor that her special talent is FAKE magic, was humiliated to the point of suffering vandalism on her property and losing her job, took up hard labour to make do, and (in some interpretations) tried to kill herself on screen. And for the cherry on top of the shit sundae, she’s the fatherless daughter of a washed up loser con-magician, conceived via a one-night stand!
Even that is implied really. They said whether or not Jackpot knows of Trixie’s existence is debatable. Personally I think they’re just a normal family and Trixie is just old enough to be independent. And Trixie may visit her dad offscreen since we don’t see her all the time. There’s no beef between them Trixie is just an adult now. :P

Being Applejack is suffering. She has the largest extended family outta all the cast all except where it matters, her parents. The only character that went through more pain than her is arguably Trixie, who was implied to be ditched by them.
