Is it not from marvel zombies? Sandman see’s zombie spider eat one of the villain and tragically kills the non zombie one.
If I hadn’t had the extreme misfortune of reading the Ultimatum arc, I would have assumed that’s where it came from.

There’s a part in the Spider-Man versus The Sandman comic, where the sandman goes inside spider man and comes out… in a gorey way.
