Yes, and my theory is that reformed villain will not belong to ““Mane Group” but just an important supporting character. Like Celestia or Luna in G4.

Apparently, it’s going to be in the same world as G4, but after a significant timeskip during which “the magic of friendship has been replaced by paranoia and doubt”.
So basically all the hard work and all the good that was done during G4 has been effectively WASTED by the ponies in the intervening years, and now this new generation have to fix things all over again. xD
