trans trixie is the most valid headcanon the fandom has ever come up with.
 
some tid bits:
 
Bisexual, transgender, hot.  
She’s Twilight’s long lost cousin. Velvet’s sister, Spectacle became tired of the canterlot elite life. She ran off to las pegasus to escape it all - falling in love with a poor street performer while she served tables at a diner.  
His acts got too big for her, however. By all means she wanted him to succeed… but as a performer, he loved the big parties and the swanky elites with deep pockets. It reminded Spectacle too much of what she had been trying to escape.  
So once again she goes on the move. Then she finds out she’s pregnant. and then she definitely decides not to come back.  
Trixie grew up on the road, never really staying in one place for very long.  
Spectacle didn’t raise Trixie with much impression of how she should or shouldn’t act, and in fact kept her pretty adrogynous until she was old enough to choose for herself what she wanted to be. She didn’t want to press onto her anything that her own father had tried on her.  
A lot of Trixie’s dislike and rivalry with Twilight comes from the fact that, to her, Twilight is the epitome of privilege. Her childhood wasn’t full of much material possessions. She had no plush canterlot upbringing, no personal magic tutors - just her mother and a caravan. Something to her she doesn’t think Twilight could possibly understand.  
But what Trixie had that Twilight didn’t, was a mother that loved her, a lot. That let her choose who she wanted to be and supported her through all of it. Twilight’s not oblivious to the priviledge she had, but she can’t help but feel like she missed out on something important there.  
They eventually find out they’re related, when Spectacle finally gives in after years of seperation, and lets Trixie meet her extended family.  
Though Trixie is disgusted at first, the two eventually warm up to each other, and get some enjoyment in making fun of the canterlot elite together at big parties.  
…okay im stopping there, that’s not even getting into like, her relationship with Starlight and Maud and her kiddo. I want to redo their family ref at some point so I’ll save it for that lol.
