I think the finale idea that was decided is that Twilight was asked with helping Celestia raise him, like issue 40 of the comic but after that Twilight’s parents became his official guardians.
I think that makes the most sense, was never a fan of Celestia being Spike mother tbh
I know, thats the real cannon, in Sparkle Seven, he is clearly seen alongside Velvet and Night Light, waiting for his older siblings to return from school, which would mean that Velvet and Night Light raised him when he was a newborn.
I only really like all those fics when he is Celestia´s son.
Comics and episodes disagree with that statement though.
As far as the actual show, well, shows Twilight’s family raised him. With Twilight being a combination of mother/sister to him.
I really don’t recall Spike and Celestia having much of a relationship.

Yeah, youre right dude, he is my favorite character but i also know Spike has made mistakes in the past, but like the other Mane 6, he learns about that.
I like Spike and we know somepeople say other things but everybody can think and say anything.

Personal never like this much, the relationship between the two never felt like one of patently figure and child. Much prefer that they went with Twilight’s parents being the ones that raised him
Lauren Faust said that Spike was raised by Celestia when he hatched from the egg and then when he was old enough, Celestia entrusted him to Twilight to be her assistant, I’m glad he went from being her assistant to her little brother
Their been a few who believe celestia adopted spike since twilight was too young to raise a baby dragon but let them be close friends.
