Last time I checked, the UK isn’t part of the EU anymore, but go ahead.
New ICE sales will be banned in 2030. I’d call that their doomsday, in your own words. It roughly takes 10 years to replace the global fleet of vehicles (don’t you be citing stupid stuff like people keeping their cars for longer than that, I said roughly). You think everyone is an idiot that advocates for sustainable energy and clear air because “tHe FlEeT wIlL bE rEpLaCeD eXaCtLy On 2030.” I’ve got news for you… NEITHER WILL THE ROLLOUT OF EFUEL! BEVs are ahead of efuel, new ICE will be banned in 9 years, and 99% of passenger vehicles will be electric in 2040. There is no “wait for the technology to get here” for efuel and batteries. BEVs are fully mature. The only issue is cost now. Efuel has to surmount actual production, widespread rollout, AND cost competitiveness within 9 years, only to die a sweet death soon thereafter. If you truly think all that will happen in 9 years, you’re delusional, and I’m outta here.
Says who? Californian/EU politicians who have zero clue as to just how much there is to go before all cars are BEVs?
I agree that electric cars are the future, but you have to be VERY naive to think they’ll fully take over in 2030. Like I said, research from the American Economic Association states that by then ICE will still take up more than 3/4 of all cars.
Full electrification is a long process that will take decades and no amount of your wishy-washy “🦀🦀GAS IS DEAD🦀🦀” rain dances will make that shorter.
So how about we get some eFuel up in here to minimize the environmental impact of ICE as we wait, hmmm?
Edited
Uhh, dude. Jan. 1, 2030 IS the day ICE is officially dead. Have you been living under a rock?
And me saying kek is my way of saying you’re a nice guy without saying it and getting banned.
>thinks 2030 is the doomsday date for ICE
>doesn’t know Audi is a leading force for eFuels
>says kek
You also made my day good sir

kek, you made my day so far
You’re being WAYYY too optimistic on the expiration date of ICE. Most experts are saying it’s likely that BEVs will never fully replace ICE, hence the development of eFuels.
Besides why the hell would multiple companies pour billions in developing something for ICE vehicles if they’re gonna be gone by the time its finished anyway?
Edited
ICE will be long dead by the time that’s commercially viable and widespread.
Besides, BEVs are faster and more powerful for the same size vehicle.

Rather wait for eFuel. All the convenience of gasoline with none of the environmental damage

Works equally well for fillies ‘parently
Never say never. Price is going down all the time. Never thought I’d be able to afford one either.
The only concern is range anxiety - no matter where you’re going there’s always a Supercharger within striking distance, but we haven’t yet hit the point where they are always necessarily convenient. If you’re going out into the countryside or the mountains, expect to have to plan around the availability of chargers…. which can be pretty inconvenient sometimes. The batteries also take a hell of a lot longer to charge than, say, filling up a tank of gas would be.
Now, it’s usually been my experience that by the time you’re in need of a recharge, you’ve been driving long enough that the chance to stretch your legs or go get some food for 15-30 minutes is pretty welcome. But if you’re one of those people who takes long trips where all you wanna do is power down the road as fast as you can…. yeah, it’s a problem. And even moreso if you’re taking a trip to the middle of nowhere.
The tradeoff for all of that though, is an insanely eco-friendly car that is also a real treat to drive or ride in, and a bit of a status symbol on top of all that. And if you’re just talking about daily use and not extended road trips, it has more than enough power for a few days at a time…. not that you even need that if you live in your own home, because you can just plug it in when you make it back at the end of the day. I haven’t been to a gas station in two years.
I must make justice and show ppl who don’t care how mustang mach e looks.

She’s probably freezing to death in there!
