Description
Gold Star Apple
“Gold Star,” “Apples,” “Goldy”
Nonbinary (they/them)
Bisexual
Mom: Rainbow Dash
Other Mom: Applejack
Donor Dad(?): Soarin
Location: Applewood, Coltifornia
Occupation: Various odd jobs
Backstory (wip):
Gold Star Apple was born and grew up in Applewood, as it was the place Rainbow Dash and Applejack chose to settle. Life downtown was busy and often rough…but not for Gold Star. They held a lot of popularity in school for being the kid of two great heroes! They took this praise humbly.
The recognition as a popular child made it difficult for Gold Star to find an identity beyond that. They never found anything to be really passionate about as a kid, and even as an adult they’ll admit that they still feel lost. Their parents had wildly different ideas for what they wanted their kids to be; Applejack and Rainbow Dash’s old-age bickering mostly centered around this. Quite predictably, Applejack wanted Gold Star Apple to pursue apples while RD saw them as a future Wonderbolt.
Unfortunately, this conflict would see no easy end. Both of Gold Star’s parents passed away in the same year. Gold Star Apple was a young adult in college around this time, and the burden was too much for them to bear. It caused them to drop out and lose housing, rendering Gold Star homeless in Applewood. They currently couch-hop between friends’ places, and they perform odd jobs for bits to repay those that care for them.
