you do realize that believing differently about it than you do, doesn’t make someone a ‘covid denier’ right? They just deny the doomsday narrative it’s been attributed, given that it’s less lethal than swine-flu and that was less a bang than a whimper, nobody panicked or locked down over ‘those’ deaths, so why would they be so much ‘more’ panicked now? There’s a reason for such drastic changes like that, and it’s ‘not’ that the virus is deadlier XD
 
Also, it’s all about who ends up on the image… it’s not ‘going out their way’ for someone to click on image, see what it is, and decide they don’t like it… getting downvotes is not evidence of some fantastical campaign to downvote all left-wing stuff.
 
Also, were you even here for that schism a while back? When several left-wing mods went power-mad and caused the site to fracture because they were suppressing anything criticizing the left-wing range of political talking points? If anything, ‘their’ behavior with the power they have would be a greater reason for why people downvote left-wing political images, because that polarized way more people who weren’t even interested into having a problem with them.

I’m disturbed about how many covid deniers there seem to be here. I don’t like my distraction from the real world being tainted with politics but I see plenty of rightwing stuff get upvotes here but the one leftwing thing I see gets a ton of downvotes. The fact is is that the people of this site are fine with politicization, as long as it agrees with them. I as a far left-winger don’t go out of my way to downvote rightwing stuff, Y’all should return the same curtesy. (the final sentence isn’t necessarily directed at you btw)

I mean, a lot of people disprove of making political mouth-pieces out of their fandom and characters there-in, nevermind one that is a blatant implication that one group is ‘the villains’… Granted, I think it would’ve been much less insultingly blatant to just point out that they’d avoid protested ‘not related to covid’ instead of only ‘more sensible protests’… when it comes to ‘sensible or not’, I find plenty hilarious about certain ‘other’ protests, ya know, the ones with a habit of forming autonomous zones with a record of rape and murder, ruled by roaming mobs with assault rifles… comprised of people who say ‘we’ should be denied access to fire-arms, claiming we have a rape-culture, and that entire institutions are out to murder half the country…The irony must be so suffocating that it’s depriving their brains of oxygen. [the crazies, not the artist XD]
 
Still, I personally like how there was a lot of general making fun of the madness of this craze in the other ones, the series is quite funny. XD

this isn’t the best thing I’ve ever seen but it’s kind of disturbing how many people went out of their way to downvote it.

the ironic thing is that these protestors are the ones keeping others in mind. even if they’re wrong, they’re trying to warn everypony about something that would otherwise be important.
 
lily and pony morty are trying to keep them out of mind, and run away from them. and pinkiedevil is trying to keep them out of others’ minds, by making them step down and not protest.

Well the stimulus checks barely ever made it out of the republican lead houses either not saying the democratic leadership wasn’t equally inept or anything even holding more of a victim complex without doing anything than republicans, in totality the government has proven itself inept at its job and I’d call for an overhaul of all of it just on the basis of how it handled this if at all feasible.
 
Both sides simultaneously screwed the people and divided the people by pointing the finger all on the other side. But hey they got their bases fired up over something either could do better at by making the other seem more responsible so as planned to some degree

Correction: I never said it exclusively increases the chance of you or others getting ‘corona’, check my wording before you cry misinformation. I said it increases chances of catching ‘something’ specifically due to what is essentially an infectious breeding ground inside the fabric after it’s been used a while.
 
And while yes, you are supposed to ‘buy disposable masks’, how many people actually do, even among those ‘obsessed’ with masks? Businesses, sure, But most people i’ve ever seen wear one as more of a fashion statement than as protective equipment.

I prefer the ‘educate people’ provision of peace of mind personally, because it can help quell their panic and fear entirely. ‘cure’ over ‘treatment’ over ‘placebo’ I say…
 
just ‘telling people’ that all is well, is a placebo  
obeying and putting on a mask for their fear is a ‘treatment’  
educating them so there ‘is no/less fear’ is a ‘cure’
 
Plus, it’s never about ‘just refusing to wear the mask’, it’s about refusing to obey unconstitutional mandates by a government official ‘demanding’ I wear a mask, especially while they flout the very regulations they demand of ‘us’, something caught on camera in ever growing cases in the last year, telling ‘me’ that they don’t believe there is a big enough crisis, therefore I will follow their ‘behavioral’ example, over their ‘oral’ demands.  
We are, afterall, ‘equals’, I will not obey a law or mandate that my ‘leaders’ refuse to obey themselves.

And unfortunately, that was a ‘political gamble with our wellbeing’ carried out by the democratic leadership to make the incumbent party look inept while doing everything they could to block progress ‘on’ helping people. It’s been proven that pelosi herself was holding the stimulus bills hostage to filter money out of into democrat cities and businesses ‘explicitly’ more than others, and is on camera saying ‘it’s okay to do it now, because joe biden is president.’ … not to mention the ‘emergency tweaks to voting procedures due to covid regulations’.

Yeah, I know, the mask thing is just silly to focus on.  
The economics are far more complicated since most businesses could run with proper precautions put into play so the initial ( really late and really bad ) response wasn’t particularly helpful.
 
Add to that the lack of compensation for workers when telling businesses to shutdown and you have well the current situation. They needed to either  
A) Open Businesses  
And/or B) Compensate people by providing, at LEAST, necessities (rent, food, bills, etc.)  
They did neither
 
But that isn’t some government powerplay to put itself into deeper recession

The masks are the least of it. They forced thousands of businesses to shut down which put thousands of people out of work. People are protesting the lock downs because they are facing starvation and homelessness at this point.

Oh shit the world government can make people wear masks like they literally did themselves during the last flu-like epidemic 100 years ago and like some citizens of countries also do themselves.

Holding a virus with cloth masks … I have heard people saying that the epidemic will pass, but government officials will never forget the power they had in locking everyone up at home. I add: and they will never forget how easy it was to make everyone use a useless object.

lets see how long it takes before this comment section is shut down by the mods. just wear the mask even if you dont think it works it gives other people peace of mind
