In the Multiverse, it’s all Canon! I mean, it’s G1-based so it’s at least part of the G1 Continuity Family for Transformers.
You’re right. This is a different continuity that’s not canon to any Transformers media and/or the MLP G4 franchise. Who cares? Everything’s canon!
The comic has its own continuity that sometimes is influenced by the cartoon but mostly does its own thing.
The comic doesn’t seem to actually have a place in continuity and that’s pretty much the first line in the comic.
That covers shows spike with wings and 1 panel shows rainbow dash as a wonderbolt but chrysalis still has a changeling army
