Tail biting doesn’t always have to equate to love. Applejack did it to get their attentions. And that bit with Chrysalis and Starlight was more of Chrysalis striking Starlight across the room as a way to silence Starlight.

Cool, thanks for the info. AJ also lasso’d RD’s tail in grannies gone wild. Do you know how many times RD’s tail got pulled upon(not just by AJ, it seems to happen a lot)?

I don’t think so. At least I hope not. I wonder whether Applejack’s apparent romantic feelings for Rainbow Dash might’ve been a factor either way, but she bites other ponies’ tails like Twilight and Pinkie, so that can’t be exclusive to ponies who are in love with each other. (Besides, Chrysalis bit Starlight’s tail and she hates her)

How many times happened in the show? It happened a lot, especially the first couple of seasons.
